Echos At Night

 Mordy had kept good on his promise to call Maya. During the call- that Sal totally wasn't listing in on- the two had made plans to met again soon for some teamwork out in the tundra express.

But as luck would have it, that wouldn't happen.

Instead of getting more time with Mordy, Maya was forced into a hunting trip with Sir Hammerlock and the others. But he still echoed every night...and every night the vault hunters were forced to listen to her giggles and, awkward "flirting", and one side of their conversations.

From what salvador could tell they talked about anything they could: her missions that day, the weird creatures she saw (and killed), the last girl scooter tried to get in bed, but mainly Maya.

From what Salvador could tell the hunter had a genuine interest in her- asking random trivia questions about her and her day.

Like from what he'd overheard, and thanks to the hunter asking, he now knew Maya's favorite color was red (like Mordy's scarf), her favorite flowers were a special type of rainbow rose that were native to Athens, she was never allowed to show ANY skin back home (Axton decided to comment about how that was "such a crime"), she hadn't had much exposure to any pop culture at all, and most importantly...she REALLY liked the hunter.

Which made Salvador REALLY not like or trust him.

Sal had grow up in a big truxican family. 3 older sisters and 3 younger sisters. As the only guy he became very protective of his sisters, and he viewed Maya as no different to them.

Part of him knew he could trust his fellow Truxican...but the big brother side of him wanted to protect her.

But it was hard for him to worry when Maya got that same huge grin every time he called her.

From what Salvador could tell, Mordecai made Maya veryhappy.

But that didn't mean he and the hunter didn't need to have a very serious talk.
